Cancellation Policy for Guided Activities

We are small business with a limited season for operating.  Cancellations on your part are hard on us.  We must adhere to our policies even in cases of last minute trip cancellations on your part, due to personal injury, sickness, or personal emergency. 

We recommend you purchase a Travel Insurance plan that will cover such instances.

Full Refunds - less a cancellation fee, will be given for any cancellations received outside of 7 Days from activity date.

50% Refunds - less a cancellation fee, will be given for any cancellations received outside of 48 hours from activity date.

No refund will be given if cancellation received within 48 hours.

If re-scheduling is needed, there is no cost, if done more than 7 days in advance of activity date.

If re-scheduling within 7 days, you will be charged an administrative fee of $25 added to the booking.

All fees are refundable if the trip has been cancelled by Tamarack Adventures for reasons of weather, area closures, emergencies, illness etc. We will make every effort to reschedule your trip or provide a full refund if we need to cancel due to unsafe weather for the completion of the activity.

Recommended Items for Guided Hikes:

  • Daypack (20 - 30L volume)

  • sturdy comfortable hiking footwear

  • water for the activity (usually 2L is sufficient)

  • sun hat, warm hat/buff, gloves or mitts

  • Rainwear and Extra layers & socks.

  • Synthetic or wool layers are recommended for clothing layers. Cotton is not recommended.

ADDITIONAL ITEMS YOU MAY CHOOSE TO BRING INCLUDE:

  • Sunscreen & Insect repellant

  • camera, binoculars

  • trekking poles

  • Gaiters

Please remember to bring any specific personal medications that may be necessary for you or your group members. You will be required to sign a waiver prior to the activity at which time it is important that you disclose any medical, physical or otherwise conditions and prescribed medications to your guide.
