We have been transporting Waterton visitors around the park since 1979 and continue to assist you in getting you where you need to go.
Cameron Express Shuttle is in full operation.
Departure time is 8:15 AM.
The Cameron Express shuttle provides hikers a convenient service to access Cameron Lake and the varied activity options available along the Akamina Parkway. It is most commonly used to access the world famous Carthew-Alderson Trail, Waterton’s true alpine adventure. The Cameron Express shuttle is also a good way to access the Akamina-Kishenena for an exhilarating bike ride through the forest before cruising back to town via the Akamina Parkway on your own two wheels.
Reservations are required for hikers and especially for mountain bikers. We have a maximum capacity of 6 bikes.
Cameron Express shuttles operates from mid-June to end of September (weather and trail condition dependant).
June 20 – June 30 SHUTTLE DEPARTURE at 9:15 AM
July 1 – September 7 SHUTTLE DEPARTURE at 8:15 AM
September 8-September 28 SHUTTLE DEPARTURE at 9:15 AM
Cost is CAD $13.50 per person.
Cameron Express departures at other times are available as a custom shuttle departure.
Custom shuttle prices are CAD $60 to run (covers a maximum of four passengers) and CAD $13.50/person for each additional passenger.
CHIEF MOUNTAIN SHUTTLE
Achieving the logistics necessary for starting or finishing your backpacking adventures in Waterton-Glacier can sometimes be tricky. Our Chief Mountain shuttle is here to help. This shuttle assists hikers who are returning or dropping off their vehicle at the Belly River trailhead parking area on the US side of the border. The shuttle also connects hikers to points beyond in Glacier Park, using a shuttle connection on the American side of the Chief Mountain border crossing.
From May 15th to Sept 22nd scheduled Chief Mountain shuttles will depart from the Tamarack in Waterton at 2:30 pm, arriving at the Chief Mountain border crossing (Canadian parking lot) at approximately 3 pm. The GPI East Side Shuttle picks up at the border at 3:45 pm.
It is CAD $20/person for the Chief Mountain shuttle. Reservations are necessary.

TAMARACK TRAIL SHUTTLE
THE TAMARACK SHUTTLE WILL NOT BE RUNNING PAST SEPTEMBER 7, DUE TO THE CLOSURE OF RED ROCK PARKWAY.
The Tamarack Trail is Waterton’s most popular backpacking route, taking you on an adventure to high ridges, alpine larch forest and paralleling the Continental Divide. We can facilitate your Tamarack Trail plans with our shuttle by the same name.
For southbound travellers, leave your vehicle at the Rowe Lakes trailhead and we will pick you up there and deliver you to your starting point at Red Rock Canyon.
From July to September 15th , pick up at the Rowe Lakes trailhead will be at 9:00 AM by our Cameron Express Shuttle, with a drop off at Red Rock Canyon at approx. 9:45 AM.
For northbound travellers, leave your vehicle at the Red Rock Canyon parking lot and we will pick you up there and deliver you to your starting point at the Rowe Lakes trailhead.
From July to September 15 , pick up at the Red Rock Canyon will be at 7:30 AM with a drop at the Rowe Lakes trailhead at approx. 8:45 AM.
